So, I have been with this company for 2.25ish years. I quite once after being a Temp for 6 months. My cousin was the one who got me the job, and was the one who convinced the Boss to let me back the first time.
As a Temp the had me run a panel saw. Which turned out to be the bottle neck of the company. I was doing a 2 person job solo. I am a Army Veteran, I was discharged when I broke my hip. I was doing a lot of heavy lifting, at the end of every day I could barely walk. So I got into a yelling match with the boss and walked out at 9:00 on a Thursday morning. They asked me to come after about a week. (Also promises were broken)
Fast forward to now, I turned in my two weeks notice. Management doesn't want me to leave. (No surprise there, I am the only person who can run 600+ pieces an hour on the laminator I run.) I had asked to get moved to forklift drive do to the strain running the li e puts on my hips. I was denied.
Long story short, I had enough of the BS. [I was a Temp for 14 months]. When I turned in my letter of resignation, my cousin (who is also my supervisor) didn't know what I had written. (He knew I was quitting though). The Boss called him, scared that he also was quitting. For I had made mention of the fact that he was only make a dollar more then me.
So, as of Friday the 8th of April I will be unemployed. I am planning on doing my own thing. I've worked enough Saturdays to fill a life time.
Sorry if this seems like a ramble.
