I am so fed up.

The culture of trying to make a profit from everything is tiring me out. I can't even show a painting to someone without them advising me to sell it and make a few bucks. No shade to anyone who does that, but people should be allowed to enjoy their hobby the way they want to. Not everyone feels the need to upgrade their hobby to a level where they can make money from it. Also, it doesn't work everytime. Trying to make a product that people actually buy sometimes takes the fun out of a hobby. You sing well? Maybe try going to a competition! Write well? Try content writing? Witty? What about a side hustle as a stand up comedian? Come on people! Let me enjoy my off-tune humming and crap jokes and subpar watercolor designs. I don't want to turn things that bring me joy into something that…

I do my job for money. I have hobbies for my peace of mind. I can't turn one into the other.
