Since I can't afford to work at this rate and don't feel like arguing with the 80 year old Treasurer, I have been applying to other jobs. The members of the church session heard of this as I told my boss (Pastor) I would be resigning immediately when I found new work.

The one member of Session asked me instead to start taking food from their food pantry outside because they need me to keep updating the webpage and “can't find anyone else at my rate”. As if free food is going to pay my rent. I told her “I'm not stealing from the poor” and she seemed confused.

So, they are trying to bribe me with food for the homeless not knowing that it's the people and that make me want to leave.
