I basically received no formal training for my asst. production manager position. Pulled an order and shipped it to the wrong destination now they are threatening to fire me.

I’m a quick learner and after a few weeks as warehouse manager they offered me a position as assistant production manager. Job is pretty simple but, the training is basically asking the person who trained me questions until I didn’t have to ask anymore. This guy does not do his job because he has multiple people doing it for him. I’ve never been confrontational in the workplace but, I feel I have to escalate this matter.

Has anyone dealt with something like this? Any pointers?
