I’m a quick learner and after a few weeks as warehouse manager they offered me a position as assistant production manager. Job is pretty simple but, the training is basically asking the person who trained me questions until I didn’t have to ask anymore. My boss (not the one that offered me the position) seems like he never liked me since day one. I’m not gunning for his position but I do like to learn new things and I work very efficiently. Yesterday I pulled an order for items that totaled over $9,000 and shipped it. The thing is it was suppose to go to Wisconsin and I scanned the wrong barcode by mistake, so it went to Canada. They found out towards the end of the shift and it seems like my boss had this one in the chamber. “I see you’re constantly on your phone (I’m not) you ignored everything your trainer told you (I didn’t) the system is set up to be easy (it’s not), one more infraction and we will be looking into termination”. This guy does not do his job because he has multiple people doing it for him. I’ve never been confrontational in the workplace but, I feel I have to escalate this matter.
Has anyone dealt with something like this? Any pointers?
