I can’t believe it worked.

After months of being strung along by my employer, I interviewed at a few different places and was offered a new job. During this entire time, my current boss kept promising to talk about a raise, a promotion, listen to ideas on how to change things for the better, etc. Excuse after excuse to put it off. Then finally a brief discussion. Then weeks of stalling on what new pay should be. So I quit. I was over it. I gave my two weeks notice.

I fully expected them to tell me they'd pay out the two weeks but to pack my things, turn in my equipment, etc.

Instead they offered a 50% raise (bringing me to market average) and agreed to just about every point I had originally made months ago.

So I decided not to leave.

Then I told all my peers what I did, how I got a raise, and how much I'm now getting paid. Because they need to know. They work as hard as I do.

I can't wait to see what happens next!
