I claim my commute time on my time card

TLDR; Work wants me to spend 4.5 hours a week commuting when I was told I could WFH and hen I was hired. So I claim those hours on my time card —— We’ve been WFH since I was hired. I told them I would not take the job if I had to go on site and they agreed. In the offer email it reads, “Even if we required more on site time you wouldn’t be effected.” A few months ago they told me I’d have to be on site two days a week. I pushed back then but I was able to make my own schedule and come and go a little early. I dropped it after a month but I was still claiming 8 hours even if I worked 6 – 7 in person since I would “finish at home” if anyone mentioned anything. We were told that…

We’ve been WFH since I was hired. I told them I would not take the job if I had to go on site and they agreed. In the offer email it reads, “Even if we required more on site time you wouldn’t be effected.”

A few months ago they told me I’d have to be on site two days a week. I pushed back then but I was able to make my own schedule and come and go a little early. I dropped it after a month but I was still claiming 8 hours even if I worked 6 – 7 in person since I would “finish at home” if anyone mentioned anything.

We were told that we’d be moving to three days on site about a month ago. I pushed back and was told “the expectation is to be on site three days and you will be there.”

My job can be completely done from home. It’s 40 mins one way from my driveway to my parking spot. So that’s an hour and a half I have to commute 3x.

Everyone in my group comes in person at 8:30am. So for the last month I’ve been coming in 15 minutes early and when people have been asking how long I’ve been there I just say “a little over an hour.” And then leave two hours before everyone else at work. No me questions it since I do a good job either.

I’ve decided I’ll leave the job in a couple months so I’ve already started the Quiet Quitting stuff too, just enough work to get people to leave me alone. I just haven’t decided if I wanna do the van life or find a new WFH job straight away
