Antiwork

I commend parents who tell their kids what is appropriate or not appropriate to experience at work

My parents never told me anything about work. If I have a kid I would have the “work talk” with them. My parents were like “ok cool you got a job if the boss is crazy don't mind him”. I want to become a teacher and honestly I would give this talk too. When I was a teen I wish I knew: – that I can say no to staying late. -That they way a boss is talking to me is not cool. -I don't have to say yes into coming in to work when I don't want to .etc I let bosses manipulate me into staying late, guilt tripping me for stupid reasons. I took me several years to learn these lessons and many hours and days lost of my life to put my foot down.
