I've worked in the health and fitness industry for over a decade. In gyms, in PT clinics, in schools etc.
Over the past 5 years it's been gyms and I grew tired of gyms charging people $90 a session for personal training but only getting between $25-30 for those sessions. Yeah overhead costs blah blah.
I started working for myself. In home training using a sliding scale. Pay what you can, because health and wellness belongs to everyone.
I had critics, people literally calling me stupid for not having a minimum price. But honestly, I keep my overhead low. I had a lot of the equipment and I drive a very fuel efficient car. PLI isn't that much and I keep my radius small(ish).
My business is young, and I'm not going to be rich from it, but at least I'm doing everything I can to keep costs low. Some people pay me $15/hour some pay me $90 but I treat them all the same because they're all people to me, not dollar signs.
Until I drum up more business I do some Door Dash, but I just feel better ya know?
Anyway, have a great day.
