I don’t make enough at my job. My boss always says “If you work more hours your checks would be bigger”. What do I say back to this?

I'm already working a lot. The extra hours he's talking about is when he wants a Saturday off. I'm so fucking frustrated with him saying this but I never say anything because I'm trying to be professional.
