“ I don’t need to pay people more because it won’t solve their problems”

I was listening to the rich dad poor dad audiobook yesterday, when he said to his rich dad “they deserve to get paid more why don’t you increase their wages” he replied “because I don’t have to , it’s their fear not mine, more money won’t solve their problems if anything it will get them in more debt” how do you feel about this? I get where he’s coming from but damn
