Applied for a new job, slightly better pay, you wouldn’t believe what they told me.

Dunno where else to bring this little nugget, but here it is. I've worked with the same company for 20 years. Moved around a bit, tried other positions, and did very well. Wanted a change of scenery. Job was well within my career path, and what I studied. Didn't get the job, so I call to get the old “What can I do to improve” question answered. The one who interviewed me said they saw I've only been with that one company for 20 years and nothing else. And they were looking for someone with “a more diverse work history”. I've worked 7 different jobs under the same roof, so I've got the “diversity” part. All I can think is whomever gets that job, I hope they don't get taken advantage of. Cause, that is just sounds spotty to me. Never thought that kind of (I wouldn't call it “loyalty”…

Cause, that is just sounds spotty to me. Never thought that kind of (I wouldn't call it “loyalty” but consistency, maybe just plain good work ethic? Would bit me in the ass.
