I don’t understand why I am scared to leave

I have been where I’m at for a year next month. I commute to work 45 minutes everyday, I am putting nearly $300 in my gas tank a month. I never ever call off, I’m super reliable and I’m the type of person who gets anxiety even thinking of calling off. Yet there are people there who have left early for stuff, call off like twice every other week, etc. I’m trying to get a work from home position through the same company but I can’t until I hit my year on May 2nd or my manager can deny it. I am going to start applying the second that day hits. I can’t take the drama, the commute, etc. But I can’t understand why, when other people are doing what they are doing, and I’d be doing this to actually benefit myself, why the hell I’m so scared to tell…

I don’t know if I need encouragement or what.
