After a year of working IT at my job I finally snapped after hearing how much outside help was being paid with less experience. That wasn't mentioned in my email to the CIO, but I mentioned all my additional workloads and accomplishments and how I felt underpaid in my role. I was blunt and laid it out there, open to discussion and requested a meeting. It had me shaking after pressing send, but now I am feeling empowered because what the fuck can be said to me? No? Deny me and I'll find a better job at this point, right? Can update when I hear back this week.
