I finally submitted my resignation after the final straw

I've been with this agency for four years. I've given them 110% every single day, yet the stress and workload only became worse and worse. Within the last year, I have had to take on two jobs at once because one of our employees had gotten injured, and I was the only person who knew how to do her job. I begged the agency for help, and said that if I didn't get it, my work quality would fall and I didn't want to make any mistakes. They said I didn't need help, and as a result, my work quality fell (as I told them it would). They blamed me for that. Then they blamed me when I followed their instructions because their instructions would change every single day. They even blamed me for mistakes they found in our database system that weren't even caused by me, but by employees…

would change every single day. They even blamed me for mistakes they found in our database system that weren't even caused by me, but by employees who didn't even work for the agency anymore.

Today, one of the chief executive staff blamed me in an email, with multiple people cc’d, for losing a file. I told her that I'd given this file to her. An email later, she said she found it in her office. Another email later, she said it was my fault she didn't know it was there because I didn't label it. I got
out of my desk, walked into her office, and asked to see the file. She said she would give it to me later, but I saw it right on her desk. And guess what? I HAD labeled it.
She was just blaming me yet again for something I didn't do. I could tell by the panicked look on her face that she knew she’d messed up.

I walked right out and sent my resignation to HR. I don't even have a job lined up, but I am done.
