I work in a big retail clothing shop and the other day the loss prevention guy visited and accused me of stealing for the last few months. Turns out the other guys on the management team were taking photos of anything they deemed suspicious. In reality I was just putting stuff aside to maybe buy and changing my mind and putting it back on the floor. All I was really guilty of was being lazy/holding things improperly so I’m meant to have a disciplinary meeting now about that since I didn’t actually do any gross misconduct(they couldn’t really prove anything)
I’ve called in sick the last few days but want to quit and not work my notice but I don’t know how since i signed a contract for a 4 week notice period. More than anything I’m sad my coworkers who I’ve been close with for a year would do something like this…
