I got fired for having surgery.

Last Thursday, I found out that I was going to have surgery Wednesdayof this week. As soon as I got the call from the MD, I notified my boss and HR. Since I hadn't worked at this job yet for a full year, I wasn't eligible for FMLA and I was told that I needed to have my MD fill out paperwork for ADA leave. Late Tuesday evening I was sent an email stating my leave wasn't approved because my employer wouldn't be able to make reasonable accommodation and if I wanted to wait until after my 1 year anniversary in July then my job would be protected. If I went through with the surgery, however, my employment would be terminated.
Thing is, I don't have alerts set up to receive work emails after hours, so I didn't even see this email until about 20 minutes before having to be at the hospital.
So now, I'm in a lot of pain, I'm not thinking clearly because I'm on some heavy pain killers, and I'm scared af because I don't have a job and I don't know what to do.
