I got written up for missing a meeting

I am so done with this bullshit. Context: We had a string of meetings over the last couple of months with upper management, where some projects I've been in charge of were being discussed. My direct supervisor hasn't even been in these meetings, but his boss has. Let's call him Sam. This Sam is in charge of prioritizing things, it's his job. And from his own mouth, he instructed me to ignore everything except the specific tasks he assigns me. OK. So at these meetings, this man must never pay attention, or he just doesn't care because he's not directly addressed. He lets me handle everything, get grilled and pressured by 20+ people for lack of progress and never says a thing, until this last meeting when I called him out and asked him explicitly to speak up. I am so done with this bullshit.

Context:

We had a string of meetings over the last couple of months with upper management, where some projects I've been in charge of were being discussed. Suddenly, the spotlight is on him because those projects aren't being done. So Sam suggests we set up another meeting with a smaller set of people to set up priorities. This gets done. I miss it because I have a medical appointment that day, and he gets so angry to lose face that he orders my boss to write me up and put me on a performance plan. The fucking nerve of this guy.

More context still: I am, at the moment, the sole member of my department. Sam fired the only other three guys I worked with– I am doing at least two people's worth of work, and he dares to write me up for performance issues over a petty grudge of being embarrassed at a meeting when he knew zero to nothing about the things being discussed. Fuck this guy. Fuck this job.

I quit on the spot. Good luck figuring out what to do now with no one left, Sam.
