I had my exit interview today

Previously, I spoke about leaving my high paying job. I did find employment elsewhere. I was telling the rep some of the things that happened that prompted me to resign. They were horrified. No one else had said anything about what was happening. Per my benefits, I could have received additional help for the ADHD. I can't fault the supervisor if she didn't know. What struck a chord was the day after I told super I was leaving, twice she asked if the reason was her. She is aware that she may play a factor in people resigning. It makes me wonder, if she is aware, then why not proactively make an attempt to do better? It's baffling coming from me personally being a supervisor and manager for years. I want associates to be comfortable with speaking up. I wanted my associates to not feel like they were working in a hostile environment.

I couldn't speak up to supervisor. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. As I mentioned to the rep, even if I did say something to her, I don't think the behaviour would have changed. It sure changed when I said I was leaving. She has been as nice as can be trying to get me to stay. My mother used to do this, too. I can see right through the tatic.

Here's to better things.
