I hate pushing credit cards

I work for a company that still has those brand credit cards you can use at all their stores. The interest rate is super high and a lot of people say it tanks their credit when they sign up for it. But I have to convince people to sign up for these cards, it’s a never ending thing. Whenever someone’s shopping around I have to mention the card. Whenever someone asks about any sales, I have to mention the card. When they’re checking out, I have to push this card they clearly don’t want, but my screen won’t let us move on until i ask. Last week I get a handful of candy from the candy bowl in the break room (Already doing that without cards) now it’s pick something from the raffle box (15 minute break of a $5 starbucks gift card) I would rather just get five dollars on my check like they used to do.

I don’t know if anyone’s in the same boat here, but I’m seriously sick of it. If you ever go to a store that tries to push a credit card on you, just know that the interest rate is super high and it’s just not worth it in the end.
