I work a regular 9-5 as an engineer, I quite enjoy it but it means that I have to be in call sometimes.
I fucking hate being on call
No part of me wants get in from a days work and be called out to work more, or no part of me wants to give up my weekend to go work more
I get that it’s more money which for some people might make it worth it, however it’s not about the money for me. I’d much rather spend my time outside of work doing what I want not having to worry about work.
I work to live, not live to work.
