I have a feeling my superiors are picking on me.

So I have been employed by a retail chain for around 3 years. I have never been written up. Never had significant issues my entire time here, they pay very well $20/hr and have great benefits. Especially as a college student. In November, I asked if I could have leave for University to which my Warehouse Manager accepted. I took 3.5 months off. At the beginning of March, I decided to come back and cut down on school. And have since decided that I wanted to move up. I applied for a Supervisor position and weird things started happening to me. First off, I was out sick for 3 days to which I provided a doctor's note.

I was written up because I didn't have enough sick hours to take leave. After asking why, my Warehouse HR person said that Doctors notes only protect against call in patterns, not absences.

About 10 days ago, I had another incident where I was out on cart crew outside, and accidentally hit a person's car with the Cart Pusher, leaving a massive dent in the side of their car.

The accident was not my fault, the car had cut in front of me and I was unable to stop. But after it happened, I immediately fussed up and brought the person inside to my manager. Soon after he wanted my side of the story to which my mind at the time was quite hazy due to shock, and I wasn't telling the events exactly in order. My manager then accused me of lying and wrote me up for the incident.

I was then brought back inside to Assist Cashiers and Cashier myself, never to be allowed on the lot again as I was considered a “Liability”. But since, I have been called into the office numerous times for random small insignificant reasons, as well as being treated quite differently by my supervisors and managers, and not in a positive way.

I have considered taking this to Corporate, but I would love to hear what you all have to say before I do
