I have started jobs in three business professional offices and have been given a moldy/food encrusted keyboard and mouse at each place.

Is this some kind of hazing ritual I’m not aware of? Give the new guy the old gross equipment? I get giving older employees their choice of desk before the new hire arrives, but this is another level. I expect to be given a sanitary work environment. Is that crazy?
