My sister and I work for the same large company and their parental leave policy is abysmal – you’re allowed 6 weeks, but whatever you don’t have in annual and sick leave is leave without pay.
She’s two weeks in and out of leave. Our entire agency gets emailed when someone out on FMLA exhausts their leave so people can donate some of their own.
Between me and the coworkers I know have donated, she’s got another 150 paid hours. But it’s so dystopian that that’s what it takes.
