I just got terrible news about my case…

So because of Alabama law, I am not allowed to sue my previous employer for discrimination against my pregnancy. Apparently the way that Alabama law is set, you have to get permission from the government entity (the eeoc) to sue my previous employer and since I was never given a reason or even notification of my termination, my case doesn’t have enough evidence. Despite the fact that the fired me less than two weeks after I informed them of my pregnancy. The organization still wants me to help them advocate to the local and federal government for a change in the law but talking to my lawyers yesterday really took the wind out of my sails. So Darden Restaurants gets to fire pregnant women with no consequences as long as they don’t tell you why you’re fired. Thanks at-will.
