so i work at a job that has been fine before, healthcare has been provided to us and a wage above the minimum wage, etc. i remember there being talk that the company was very robust financially, and i felt safe knowing i won't be laid off or anything anytime soon. well lately something changed and we had to make some changes to our opening times, so that now on weekend shifts there will be only one person working, which means no bathroom breaks, no lunch breaks. also previously there would be three people working on sundays, now only one, which makes it harder to get those sunday shifts that are the ones that pay well.
not only that but my boss can be really challenging… like he confronts us on every single tiny mistakes, and it seems like he plays favorites. also he holds these “motivational” speeches about how he wants more of us constantly, even though at least for me the speeches have the opposite effect.
i have been giving this job my 110% before, but now i'm really unmotivated to do so – i feel like the employer doesn't really care about us, so why care about them? am i a lazy asshole for thinking this?
