I am a bit drunk as i wrote this so please forgive me if my english is not perfect, thank you.
So I heard this story from my ex-colleagues during a gathering party after we resigned from this company.
Now, our ex-workplace was really shit. We were a university but we actually did a lot of marketing and business planning, and we were not focusing on teaching and learning.
A lot of us have left the workplace, including myself.
After I left, my ex-colleague from the same department suffered a lot of work overload.
He was a very nice person and I felt bad for dumping all my work load onto his work load after i resigned. But i had no choice but to resign with a 24-hour notice because i was suffering from severe mental health issues..
He was a married young man with 2 small children and he was the only bread winner of the family. In addition to that, he was also an immigrant from a third world country. So he had to work really really hard in order to keep his job.
One day he had enough so he decided to resign and start early career in another country. He did not bother to send any resignation letter to our human resource department. He just secretly applied for a new job in another country and he brought his family and moved to that country without telling anyone.
And then his department started to wonder why he was not coming to work. The try to reach him through the phone but there was no reply. They went to his house to check but his house was empty.
People later found out that a he took the airplane with his family and escaped.
Literally the best resigned story in our department.
