I can't think of anywhere else to put this and need to vent. Today was the fourth time a company has set up a phone interview with me, only to fail to call me completely. I'll message the interviewer later, but all three previous times I was simply ignored.
I'm so disheartened because my resumes are mostly ignored or rejected since I lack work experience, despite most of my college courses being hands on.
I've been constantly screwed out of experience. During college I obtained two internships, the first one cancelled due to budget cuts and the second due to COVID. I had a job lined up leaving college, but then the company was acquired and the position eliminated before I even started. Then I had to move states with my parents, which cut me off from all the resources I had where we previously lived.
I've been actively job searching since I left my previous position, sending multiple job applications a day in which I tailor my resume and cover letter to each individual listing. Out of the hundreds of job applications I've sent, I have only had six interviews scheduled. Four of them where the interviewer never even contacted me. I've signed up for multiple online job fairs, but they get cancelled every time.
My partner and I need to get out of my parents house, but I need to get a stable job so we don't burn through my savings.
