Antiwork

I know this is antiwork, but I could use some tips for 2 interviews this week

I have been a Unit Coordinator on the labor and delivery unit of my local hospital since Dec. 2021. I heard about the job from a friend who is a nurse on the unit, and she and I are no longer friends (long story short, I was giving way too much to a friendship and found out she was talking shit about me behind my back at work). I work 3, 12 hour shifts, and I tend to just do my job and sit in silence.

I’ve been invited out once, and I think it was on accident because they were inviting everyone else and I was sitting at my desk.

I’ve been looking to find a new job that pays more, as I make $17/hr and manage everything for the nurses and doctors.

I have a 15 minute phone interview tomorrow as a UC at another hospital on the Oncology unit, and one in person as a UC at a different hospital on the Psych floor.

I’d like to find out as soon as I can about the pay rate and hours, and how much I should ask for. I end up in the negative every month because my bills are more than my 2x a month paycheck.

Any advice or tips would be wonderful, if you have any whatsoever 🙂
