Getting a job where I’m located is extremely easy, but hardly any companies pay even $12/hr. I have two jobs I love but I hardly get any hours. I do online work for most of my wages, but every once in a while when I need a little extra money, I love getting a job for a few days just to quit. The thrill is so good. I love giving shitty owners a horrible Monday and no opener. I always quit Sunday night over email
I usually do restaurants because they’re desperate and I can just chill in the dish pit for a couple days. I usually choose restaurants that I know suck or have sucky owners. I can essentially do piece work when I need a few extra bucks! I have great interviewing skills so I usually get the position. These guys are also way too lazy to let other businesses in the area know what I did.
I particularly hate restaurants. Worked at way too many where the managers make me conserve resources because “restaurants run on tight margins”. All the places where I’ve been told this, the owner has multiple homes. Not buying it! If a restaurant can’t afford to pay employees a living wage, it shouldn’t be in business! Reminiscent of corporate managers coming into blue collar workplaces and telling people to learn how to multitask to maximize profit.
This is 100% a rant and don’t tell me I’m screwing over innocent employees because I know that and love doing it. They have enough bootlickers that would love to cover for me. Just thought some may enjoy!
