I make commission on sales of members. My employer added a utility fee to each member moving forward. I have to convince people to accept said fee, but not being compensated for said added fee. Is that legal?

My employee added this fee as a way to make money without raising official dues. In my sales approach I have to inform people of said fee and convince them still to buy the package. Is this legal that I am not being somewhat compensated for this?
