So, I worked at this hotel that was an absolute nightmare. I quit about 2 months in because of the bad management. I was happy to have this chapter over with. Unfortunately, I have still not received my w-2 from this business and had to call them and ask them if they could please mail it. They were insanely combative, like so combative they immediately got very rude and wouldn’t even let me speak to the general manager. I asked them why they couldn’t mail it to me? They told me that if I wanted it I could either come get it in person or pay them to mail it to me. I obviously said no, and that they needed to mail it because I’m out of town and also, that’s your literal legal responsibility. They call me an hour later and it’s this woman who is in their accounting office who is off gate super rude. She told me that they mailed my w-2 on the 31st of January, and the post office must have lost it and that’s not their problem. That if I wanted it again I would have to pay them. So, I went to the post office to see if they had it. They have no record of any mail from their business being sent to me. Even the post office lady was angry for me. She said they were definitely lying and they never mailed it. But they are still refusing to mail it unless I pay. What do I do???
