I passed on a high paying job because they didn’t have remote work. Know your worth.

So a couple of weeks ago I got let go from my job, due to refusing to return to the office. I began applying to new openings, specially those that mentioned a remote work. I had a couple of replies and interviews. Today I got to the final interview with this company. We discussed salary and benefits, both of which were better than my previous job. Then we talked about the work culture and whether remote work was an option. They flat out told that while their post mentioned remote work, they no longer offered it. They wanted to build an in person community in the office. I thanked them for their time and said I won’t be working from an office anymore. Even thought their office was close to me, I require remote work. I told them to contact me if their out of fashion position changes. I guess…

I told them to contact me if their out of fashion position changes. I guess it’s back to job hunting for me. I require 6 figures and a work from home option. Anything else is not visible for me.

Know your worth. Never settle for less than your value.
