I put my 2 weeks notice in today – the response was more than enough confirmation that I was making the right decision.

I went into the back room to hand in my 2 weeks. I was instantly caught off guard by “I already heard” and “you know you're only part time, right?” in the most condescending attitude. “Yes…?” “Then you know you're not going to be getting full time hours if you're part time.”. That's not why I am quitting. I am quitting because I'm paid absolutely nothing for all of the work I do for the company, bossed around by new hires, and constantly questioned and micromanaged by a woman who has been with us for 2 months when I've been with the company for almost 2 years. I am one of 6 people who have quit in the span of this woman working with us. When will managers realize that we wont last long and they wont last long if their first response to every situation is to put down their employees instead of hear them out and change?

I am so excited to start a new beginning somewhere else where I'm respected, paid better, and heard :).
