I work as a consierge in the UK and I am meant to work 16 hours every weekend. For this job I have to take in and give out parcels, watch CCTV, do patrols on shift, do flat cleanings, clean the common areas and look after their other building next door. I make minimum wage, they know I have a full time job on top of this and this is what they put me on the rota for. I have next weekend off, so I put in my 2 week notice in on the Friday. Subsequently today is my last shift here and when I get home I'm CELEBRATING.
No more being fucked over, I could get a job anywhere else and it'd be illegal to pay me less, and I wouldn't have to work through every holiday. Now my manager can do it instead
