I quit on my first day and it feels so good.

Hello, long time lurker and one of my first few posts. I'm 18, just got my first job that wasn't sitting in a truck getting high with my boss for 90% of the time. I worked for a brewery and resturaunt. I was told I'd be a prep cook. Preparing some things and having stuff ready to be cooked. I go in on my first day and im told that I'm prep and full cook. I got yelled at for throwing away green steak because they would “still use and cook with it.” I'm covered in oil and metal burns because they don't have proper hand protection for hot plates and toasters. Dinner rush maybe had 10 people come in.

I came home and collapsed after working 7 hours with no break, no lunch, and no water. I messaged my manager and immediately told him I quit. It was hell, and I can't work for a company that doesn't even train their cooks.
