Antiwork

I quit retail last year and, after eight months of getting my licensing, I’m finally dipping my toes in a field I’ve always wanted to get into. Today concludes my first week back to work

Everyone's going to tell me that working IT is going to become mundane and monotonous but after this past week I've come to the conclusion that, literally anything is better than working retail or a call center customer support job. I'm constantly told that I'm overqualified with my A+ certification just for a help desk analyst position, and I get that, but this puts me in a field where I'm working a standard 8 to 5 dealing with things I actually enjoy working with. Plus I get a much more significant pay bump than when I left my retail job. It's an absolute win-win for me.
