So me and my family were traveling and a guy on a motorcycle was driving like an idiot and got hit by our car. That guy lost consciousness and we had to call an ambulance. My dad went with the ambulance to see if he's alright. This left me and my mom in the middle of nowhere. It was hard to find a taxi or a bus.
My dad had called his employee and told him what happened. I guess my dads employee told my cousin what happened. Let's call my cousin x. So x called us and told that he works a few miles away. X can leave work in a few hours (also got his leave sanctioned for the next few days) but told us that he will leave from his office now and pick us up.
X works in some kind of a private bank and told the manager that he had to leave now and explained the situation to the manager. The manager got angry and told x that it's not his dads company and he can't leave anytime he wants. The manager then gave him a lot more work and asked him to complete it. X had to work till night and couldn't go home. X called us and told us that he couldn't pick us up and was kind of embarrassed. We knew it hurt him so we just consoled him and told him it's alright.
X after completing his work that night told the manager he quit. The manager didn't seem to care. The next day when x was leaving for home the manager called him and talked nicer than usual. The manager wanted to talk to x. So x went to his office and the manager went back to being rude and gave him some kind of speech and told x “if you still want to leave you can leave”. X left.
