Antiwork

I spoke to a recruiter today and I curiously asked about unions – he informed me that unions got in the way of taking care of employees. Red flag or no?

The company sounded great from the description. Hard work, but very good wages that increase yearly. I believe proportional to cost of living. The factory location in my area is highly rated and many workers are vocal about it being a good job with many benefits. However, when I asked about if the workplace had a union, I was told that they did not. Unions get in the way of taking care of the employees. It is hard to change wages with a union present and they slow down many other processes, etc etc…. In your opinion, is this a red flag? It is personally for me, but many companies are like this about unions and this one does have good wages and benefits in comparison, and workers are happy with it.
