This happened today. I worked for him over a year ago for 1 week before I got a better job offer and quit.
He never paid me, and I have been calling him a few times a month to try to get paid. He picked up a few times and always said he would pay me. Months went by, and he would dodge most of my phone calls.
A few weeks ago, I decided to submit a wage complaint, and now he’s called me 3 times today and texted me asking for my SSN.
I’m not sure if he’s trying to get false info, but maybe this will be a lesson for him so he doesn’t scam future employees.
