I’m genuinely tired of this society especially with most being boomers that “customer service = tolerating the most absurd shit”
I have a boomer boss that says certain things and he thinks it’s 100% okay which is not (mostly involving politics and mistreating staff comparing it to “back in my day” and it’s just stupid. Not to mention what customer service workers and employees deal with on a daily because if you defend yourself or don’t follow the “the customer is always right”(which they rarely are) motto, you’re either considered disrespectful, lazy, this generation or whatever else excuse they like to use.
Instead of shoving down our throats that it’s not a crazy thing to want to be treated like a decent human being. Respecting someone so you can gain respect. This generation most millennials and Gen Z have been through ALOT.
I’m not going to have a boomer screaming in my face about something that is completely wrong and just expect me to smile through that and give them what they want. “No ma’am as soon as you lower your tone and speak to me like a decent human being then I will help you” but when I say that it’s “disrespectful” ew hell no. Not to mention the fact everything we don’t tolerate these days is considered “lazy” like…no I’m just not going to be tolerating disrespect anymore.
So I think we should be able to say “if you wanna fuck around you’re gunna find out” should be allowed to be said without any punishment to disrespectful ass clients or customers. Especially to the ones who wanna get really disrespectful and raise their voices to get what they want. Because I’m not here getting paid to get disrespected and to swallow it and take it home with me, I’m here just to work make my money and leave
