I wrote here before. I am a healthcare worker and I am sick ad tired of working for this place, it feels like I am the only one caring about patients and common sense.
I am an MRI tech and this week so far has been a rollercoaster ride.
Monday a patient came and said he had an implant removed but he is not sure if they left anything behind. ( MRI is a strong magnet) so I decided to discuss with the radiologist who agreed with me to have this patient get xrays done. My department doesn’t want me to cancel patients because they lose money.
Yesterday I had a patient who complained about his ankle and his order was foot radiologist refused to talk to me about it. I had to call and beg the physicians office multiple times for another order and they never did give me one.
Today I had a patient who needed her port accessed and she didn’t schedule an appointment to have de accessed. I called nurses at the hospital, physician office to try to stop the exam. The physicians office said we want her to reschedule its not safe for her to go home with her port accessed. I asked my coworkers and they said the same. I called the nurses and they got mad at me they connected me to their boss. Who said “give me one good reason” I said everyone wants this exam to be rescheduled its not urgent and she will have tubes out of her chest until you meet her next day if she shows up.
She called my manager and my manager approved.
Then tomorrow we have an order without real order, they didn’t write what they wanted just the PA writing what he thinks and how he feels. I called him two times and I got three wrong orders.
I got called and forced to be on call to work at the hospital while being injured and on restrictions.
Thats an easy week.
I am sick and tired of it
Now the person living under me is having sex and I am hearing disgusting noises.
