I think more people need to show proof of “illness” to their bosses, and to the customers. As a customer, I want to know if a manager makes people work while sick so I can AVOID that restaurant or business.

If a boss won't let you leave because you are vomiting or pooping your pants, just do it in front of customers and wear a sign that says “my boss says I must serve you while vomiting and pooping. thank him. his phone number is xxx-xxx-xxxx.” Have customers call corporate and complain that workers and blowing chunks in the aisle and you can't purchase the things you want, therefore the store is losing business by not providing sick days and letting people actually use them. If you aren't allowed a bathroom break to change a tampon, bleed through your pants or wear a skirt and let the blood run down your leg and explain to customers that you are not allowed to leave the cash register to change your tampon.
