Hi antiwork, you may remember me. I attempted to bring traction and awareness to Amazons absurd and gross food waste in their warehouses for Fresh deliveries a while back. Inevitably, I was put under investigation and I resigned before anything could come of it. Fuck you, Amazon.
I grew up lower middle class and remained that way until this past year. In the past year, I completely changed paths 3x and am now making $100k+. I went from a generic customer service call center role > amazon + call center (70-80 hr weeks)> pest control technician + amazon > truck driver.
I am so much happier and am no longer dealing with stupid bullshit and finally making enough money that I feel like I can breathe. I feel like I am working for a reason and not to just stay alive now. I can now comfortably support my daughter and my wife while she pursues further education and stays home to take care of our 1 yr old.
If you aren’t happy or aren’t making enough: change something. Do something. Do not stay stagnant. Reach for the moon and grab the stars with it. Life is much of what you make of it and far too short to just gasp for breaths of air.
