I was with this company for 2 years and was hired for the sole intention of working in department X then winter came around and work got slow and I had to help other departments. So I did and I made sure I had learned everything possible from departments X, Y, Z, and when I confronted my boss about a raise he replied with
“why do you want a raise?”
I was completely stressed out about it and then I asked “well, what does it take to get a raise?”
And he replied with “A raise is based open a employees about to work in a department the responsibility and their work ethics”
In 2 years I learned 2 other departments for other than the one I was hired for and my last raise was in June of last year, I was hired in may.
