I was just wondering what people’s thoughts were on paying their dues versus making the new guy do the s*** work

I understand the idea of making the new guy pay their dues but it seems like a lot of places is just an excuse to make people do the shittiest work possible. At my work found out the other day in one department they make all the new guys take out all the trash The older guys never help at all and it's not just carrying a trash can out it's big wads of tubes and fabrics and buckets and shards of resin then they wonder why they can't keep people in that department. I went to school for construction when I started in the trade I wanted to be in the summer after I got out it was pretty clear The guys had no intention of training me I was just a guy to do the s*** work even though I went to school for it and then I…
