I wish I could afford to take some time off.

I work for a mega corporation, the largest employer in America (you can probably guess who it is). My pay isn’t all that great but I can’t really think of anywhere else that will pay the same or better with my level of skill and experience so I am kind of stuck at this job. I just really need some time off but that isn’t really an option for me and if I’m being honest I don’t really ever see it being an option. I’m in college right now and completely paying my own way. I’m so extremely burnt out and exhausted. I feel like I’m sacrificing everything about myself in order to give all my time to a corporation that doesn’t give a shit. I keep seeing all this talk of the “great resignation” and how willing people of my generation are to quit bad jobs. I just can’t help but think how privileged those people must actually be. Like how is that something you are able to do so easily? Who is paying for you to just survive?
