I work for a very popular wedding venue. And I coordinate most weddings. Recently we got a new manager. She requires me to turn in all tips I receive that night. To be distributed “to their respected parties”

I receive cash tips in large sums from wedding parties. And they’re addressed to me. My manager has now decided I’m not allowed to keep them without verifying. And by that, she’s been taking my tips and distributing them amongst people who aren’t there or helped. My $150 tip addressed to me became $30. Is this legal in California?
