I’m not sure if I was simply dealt an unfortunate card when it came to locations, but I’ll give a quick synopsis nonetheless.
The manager was my first red flag, iv never in my life had someone treat me so incompetently, disrespectfully, and so beyond unprofessional like I’m still confused to this moment about my treatment at this location. She (full 8 hour shift) would tell me very basic things like “what were not gonna do is play with bubbles in the sink all day” when I had over flowed the sink and was scooping wash water and bubbles into the rinse drain or “don’t just stand their, you have to be busy and there’s things to go do” when it was my 2nd day and I got overwhelmed by a Saturday rush and no one was really training me but just telling me things and expecting me to understand immediately with no follow up. Mind you she would telling me things along these lines for every shift ALL SHIFT And only me for my whole employment and I had been told by multiple employees that I was treated so much differently than the rest.
The management wasn’t even the worst part, I was bullied by most of the staff members and was told I was most likely just getting treated like a previous employee (she was bullied horribly until they found out she was on the spectrum and they “suddenly felt different” about her) I was also warned about one of the employees being homophobic, another few just being very rude, one of them called me stupid/dumb/and that they were “going to lose their shit on me” because we were sent faulty lids and one had caved and the drink sprayed in my hair and on my clothing.
There are many other horrible things like the barrage of un-humbled customers that would treat everyone like garbage but expect the upmost respect and service, management pushing a very anti-union agenda, and me complaining about all the unfair treatment just to STILL three weeks later never have any follow up.
Needless to say I quit…
