I worked as an “early childhood instructor” for one day. I worked my scheduled (part time ) 4 hours and told the boss I quit, the job was not a good fit and they oversold it to me, it was basically daycare and I’d have a class of 12+ 2 and 3 year olds with no help. It was pure chaos and I was disappointed in their safety protocols as well. I realized immediately that I didn’t want this type of job.l and physically cannot do it due to a bad neck/back. I was in pain for 4 days after the 2 classes I did.
Communication was primarily through email, so I quit via email and in the email I sent notifying the boss of my quitting requested the employer send my check for the 2 classes I did…And… no check and it’s been 3.5 weeks now.
Also: There was no time clock (when I was hired the boss told me to email my hours to her) .because they were replacing it at the time . Soooo… What do I do now?
It’s not a lot of money at all but it’s the principle that I chased around and picked up after small humans for 4 hours and didn’t get paid.
