Turning down pay increase, additional vacation time, $7500 contract bonus and other benefits, the union members overwhelmingly voted to reject the companies offer AND to strike.
Only through solidarity can we truly benefit! The union members know they have Boeing over a barrel with 737 production and are exercising their power of collective bargaining to improve their members lives. I am so excited that they are making the stand, especially since IAM members in Washington state (Everett, Seattle, etc) have a contract with Boeing that expires next year.
Join a union, support unions, buy union made goods. Our system is out of whack and unsustainable. Workers need better pay and benefits. The most effective way for that is collective bargaining.
